+ news & updates NEW LAYOUT & GALLERY UDPATES | posted by Natalie on 02 June 2009
The main site has just been given a makeover. Our aim was to simplify the site in order to make it more easily manageable. You may have noticed some of the added content has been removed. We've decided that this site will focus solely on various media (pictures, music, videos). If you are still seeing bits of the old layout, try refreshing your browser.
I also would like to take this time to apologise for the lack of gallery updates. For months now we have been trying to fix a gallery error which does not allow us to add any new files to the gallery. We are currently looking into alternate solutions to this problem. The lack of updates is, therefore, due not to a lack of interest on our part but to this rather unfortunate gallery error. We thank you for your patience and strongly encourage you to visit our forum where many more pictures can be found. Thank you for visiting, and hopefully we will have the gallery debugged sooner rather than later. // RIP | posted by Megan on 27 September 2008
![]() January 26, 1925 – September 26, 2008 A week ago Paul sat with his daughter in the arbor of the garden, breathed in all the late summer beauty, and said very quietly, "It's been a privilege to be here." Survivors include his wife, Joanne Woodward; his five children: Susan, Stephanie, Nell, Melissa (Lissy) and Clea; two grandchildren: Peter and Henry Elkind; sons-in-law: Raphe, Kurt and Gary; and his brother, Arthur Newman. On hearing of Paul's death, a friend said, "Now cracks a noble heart," but knew that Paul would have laughed at that. The same friend wrote: "No one in his audience was ever privy to the tenderness and pride Paul had for Joanne and her talent. Watching him on the set watching her, from his seat by the camera, was to see a man transformed: his brave face taken all unawares, his lips parted in amazement, his eyes brimming with tears that never fell. It was a brief window into a man in perpetual love." // New Layout | posted by Natalie on 22 June 2008
Hi everyone! It's been a while since the last layout change. This one is cleaner, more simple, and more gender neutral than the last one, so it should load faster and be easier to read/navigate. I've only just uploaded it, so if you're still seeing bits of the old one, just refresh the page.
I've also added a comments link so we can get some direct feedback from our visitors. Tell us what you think of the new look or what you'd like to see more of on the site. One thing I'd like to know is whether or not you think it is worth adding new icons and such to the Downloads page because if no one's using any of it, then we won't bother. Thanks, as always, for visiting! // Gallery Fatal Error | posted by Natalie on 19 June 2008
UPDATE -- I have successfully repaired the gallery. You should now all have access to it once again.
As you have probably already noticed, the gallery has been down for quite some time now. We seem to be experiencing a fatal error of the type which does not seem to want to reveal itself, making it difficult to repair. I have only just regained access to the site's control panel and will renew my efforts in repairing the gallery. Hopefully I will succeed in doing so very soon. Until then, please remain patient and know that I am doing everything I can to get the gallery back up. Thank you for your patience in this matter so far. Please check out our forum for more updates and access to our members' gallery. // |
